In many cases, a biogas utilization strategy begins with increasing biogas production. Without building new digesters, you can increase your plant’s biogas production up to 300% with Anaergia’s patented Omnivore anaerobic digestion technology. Omnivore uses our proprietary mixing system together with our robust thickening technology to increase the solids ratio in digesters so that far more material can be digested in the same volume of space.

Produce valuable renewable power or renewable natural gas

The increased volumes of biogas can be used to produced renewable power and make your facility less reliant on the electric system. Our super-efficient combined heat and power (CHP) systems increase your resiliency in the event of utility power outages and can even help you put renewable power back onto the grid.

Another biogas utilization strategy is to upgrade your plant’s biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG). Our state-of-the-art solutions first condition biogas to remove siloxanes, hydrogen sulfide, and other unwanted components. Then our biogas upgrading technologies use special membranes to remove carbon dioxide. The result is pipeline quality biomethane that can be injected into the local utility gas grid.
